The shock of the Quarter Finals of the Bob Williams Sunday Challenge Cup saw the Railway Inn ,Cefn win 4-1 at Premier Division side the Red Lion Marford. The visitors held a half time advantage through an Alec Williams effort and went on to gain progression into the semi-final draw with further strikes from Nicky Williams (2) and a Scott Rogers spot kick, Matt Davies replying for the hosts.

The Corner Pin from the Chester League came from a Michael Jones goal down at the interval to beat the Wynnstay Arms Ruabon 2-1. Sam Pugh got the hosts back on level terms on seventy minutes and the Wynnstay were left to rue several missed chances when Graham Jones netted the winner for the hosts in time added on.

The Swan Rhostyllen go into the hat following a 7-1 home success over the Red Lion Strollers. The were 3-0 up at the break and went on to dominate the second period with the goals coming through Mike Pritchard with three, a Joe Roberts brace, Joe Garner and Warren Duckett.

The tie between Acton and Melrose was postponed because of a snow covered pitch and will now be scheduled for next week.

Only one game survived the overnight snow fall in Division One and this saw the Moreton Inn beat visiting Isycoed 4-1. An Ian Jones spot kick for the Moreton was the noly goal of the opening half and play opened up in the second with Steve Jones and a Nathan Spencer brace adding to the hosts tally. Isycoed missed several chances to reply but eventually top scorer Owen Williams did get one.

Broughton villa got back to winning ways at the top of Division Two with a 9-3 home success over the Black Lion.It was 3-3 at the break with Ross Hughes, Nicky Chesters and Mathew Harrison netting for the hosts, Kev Valentine (2) and man of the match Dwayne Jones for the visitors. The win was secured in the second half when Ross Hughes and Mathew Harrison both completed their hat tricks plus one each off Gareth Poole and Alec Powell.

The Long Pull kept in contention with a 10-2 win at lowly Gresford SSC.. They netted five in the first half through an Ennion Edwards hat trick, Liam White and Richard belton, Darrell Lodwick replying. The second half saw another strike off Ennion Edwards along with Ashley Dawson, Andy Jones (2) and Rhys Hughes, Darrell Lodwick replying again.The Horse and Jockey are also in the mix at the top after a 13-2 home win over the Black Horse. They were 9-0 up at the break and the goals came via Steven Reece, Simon Roberts, Chris Jones, Darren Jones (2), Adam Howell, Mark Jones (2) and Jordan Smith. The hosts had its man of the match in Ryan Hanmer.

Maesgwyn Minera climbed a place with a 4-1 home victory over Bradley Park. A Gary Whitaker free kick and Lee Bent gave them a 2-1 interval lead. Bent added another after the break along with a Mark Jones strike.

Four other matches within Wrexham were postponed because of snow covered pitches.
